Wolverine and Captain America: brief encounters during Wartime

I was idly browsing the net the other day when I came across some interesting discussion on the upcoming Captain America movie; the gist of it was that it has been heavily rumoured that the plot of the upcoming movie will be set in World War Two and because of this, Marvel has recently been ramping up the release of Captain America comics (mostly mini-series and one-shots) that are set during WW II. This is in an attempt to have comic fans become more accustomed to the idea of any upcoming Captain America movie being aperiod piece.

Now I dont know if this theory really has any legs but it sure makes for some interesting speculation one thing in the recent past of Wolverine - at least in the comics - is the character's brief association or encounters with Cap during WW II. I would love to see any kind of subtle reference to this in any future Captain America movie but I know that this is highly unlikely because of the fact that the movie rights to the Wolverine character are held by a seperate studio and not by Marvel, which has retained the movie rights to Cap and will be the studio producing the upcoming, The First Avenger: Captain America movie.

Oh well, that's what daydreaming is for...
